Cellnet O2 TrafficLine Warning Device - Service Closed Sept 2019

I found this Cellnet Traffic line device in my shed when clearing out. This was something I got with a new Cellnet (Nokia!) phone in 1998. It used different lights to show where there was a traffic jam in relation to your current location. You could then dial a number to find out what the problem was.

It takes 3 AAA batteries but no longer works as the system was switched off some time ago. You can start it up and the lights flash initially but that's all that happens now.

Update - I've found out that the service was only discontinued in September 2019 and was obviously maintained for some time after Cellnet became O2.
