Ownership Costs for Running a Porsche 911 (Porsche 996 Carrera)
Having bought my Porsche 911 on 8 August 2013, this is the list of the monthly costs to run the Porsche 996 Carrera 2 model. The numbers are skewed by a trip to Germany at the start of September which increased the fuel costs but there were only a few other costs that month.
2013
Fuel £781.46
Servicing & Maintenance £780
Mileage for 2013 was 3222 covered in 5 months
Cost per mile to run Porsche 911 in 2013 was £1596/3222 = 49p per mile
With a 12 year old car the depreciation for the Porsche 911 should now be minimal so the primary costs of ownership and running costs will be fuel, servicing and repairs/maintenance.
Probably the single biggest cost so far was the purchase of Porsche 996 GT3 seats. Luckily the cost of these seats was offset by the sale of the previous seats in the car so the net cost to change was only £50.
