Ford Puma Molten Steering Wheel Repair

A common fault on the Ford Puma is that the steering wheel leather can degrade giving the appearance of having melted. In reality the steering wheel leather is still beneath the molten looking outer and with cleaning can be restored.

Firstly I cleaned the steering wheel with hot soapy water using a sponge.

Once dry I then used leather balm to recondition the texture of the steering wheel.

The final version isn't perfect but is a massive improvement over the condition at the start and more importantly should be much nicer to hold the steering wheel when driving now it has the original texture back.
